# MCP

> Use Revcenter from Claude Code, Codex, Claude Desktop and other MCP clients.

> Agents: the full documentation index is at [/llms.txt](https://docs.revcenter.ai/llms.txt).

<Note>
  **Coming soon.** The Revcenter MCP server is not published yet, so the setup below won't work until it is.
  Until then, an agent can call the [API](/quickstart) directly; see [Agents](/tools/agents).
</Note>

`revcenter mcp` runs a Model Context Protocol server that gives your AI tool Revcenter as a set of tools. Your
tool does the reasoning; Revcenter searches, scores, keeps the shortlist and exports.

Restart the client after adding it. Ask it to "list my Revcenter projects" to check the connection.

## Tools

| `find_industries` | LinkedIn industries and their ids for a word | Does not use shortlist credits. |
| `list_projects` · `create_project` · `get_project` · `list_searches` | Projects and their searches | Does not use shortlist credits. |
| `launch_search` | Start a search on criteria or a job description | Uses 1 shortlist credit per search; none with `database_only`. |
| `get_search` · `wait_for_search` | Status, stage and outcome; `wait_for_search` checks every 10 seconds (default timeout 600 s) | Does not use shortlist credits. |

| `add_to_shortlist` · `remove_from_shortlist` | Edit the shortlist | Does not use shortlist credits. |

Every tool's description says whether it uses a shortlist credit, so your tool can ask you before it spends one.
A tool that fails returns the API's [error code](/guides/errors) and message as an error result.

## Hosted connectors

Connectors that need a hosted URL (for example custom connectors in a web chat app) are not available yet.
Use a desktop or command-line client with `revcenter mcp` for now.
