Coming soon. The revcenter CLI is not published yet, so it can’t be installed. Until it is, use the API: every command below maps to an endpoint in the API reference. This page describes the CLI as it will ship.

rvc will be installed as a short alias. How the CLI finds its key, what it prints and how it exits are in CLI basics.

Commands

`revcenter auth login [--key <key>] [--api-url <url>]`	Checks a key against the API and saves it. Without `--key`, reads it from standard input or a hidden prompt.	Does not use shortlist credits.
`revcenter auth status`	The key in use (masked), where it came from, the API address, and how many projects it sees.	Does not use shortlist credits.
`revcenter auth logout`	Deletes the saved key.	Does not use shortlist credits.
`revcenter mcp`	Runs the MCP server over standard input and output.	Does not use shortlist credits itself.
`revcenter reference`	Every criteria field, filter or score, its values, and an example.	Does not use shortlist credits.
`revcenter industries <word>`	LinkedIn industries matching a word, with their ids.	Does not use shortlist credits.
`revcenter projects`	The workspace’s projects.	Does not use shortlist credits.
`revcenter project create <name>`	Makes a project.	Does not use shortlist credits.
`revcenter project <project_id>`	One project.	Does not use shortlist credits.
`revcenter search <project_id> --criteria <file.json>`	Launches a search on your criteria.	Uses 1 shortlist credit per search; none with `--database-only`.
`revcenter search <project_id> --jd <file.txt>`	Launches a search from a job description Revcenter reads.	Uses 1 shortlist credit per search; none with `--database-only`.
`revcenter status <search_id> [--wait]`	A search’s status, stage and outcome. `--wait` checks every 10 seconds until it finishes (up to 15 minutes).	Does not use shortlist credits.
`revcenter people <search_id> [--min-score <n>] [--limit <n>] [--no-profile]`	Everyone it scored, best first.	Does not use shortlist credits.
`revcenter rescore <search_id> [--cutoff <n>] [--weight <term>=<n> …] [--preview]`	Previews (`--preview`) or applies a scoring change.	Does not use shortlist credits.
`revcenter database <search_id>`	Scores your workspace’s candidates on file against the search again.	Does not use shortlist credits.
`revcenter expand <project_id>`	A live pass for more people on the same role.	Uses 1 shortlist credit per expansion.
`revcenter shortlist <project_id> [--csv [<file>]] [--no-profile]`	The shortlist as JSON, or saved as a CSV (default file `shortlist-<project_id>.csv`).	Does not use shortlist credits.
`revcenter add <project_id> <candidate_id> …`	Puts people a project’s searches found on the shortlist.	Does not use shortlist credits.
`revcenter remove <project_id> <candidate_id> [--reason "<text>"]`	Takes someone off the shortlist.	Does not use shortlist credits.
`revcenter --version` · `revcenter --help`	The version, or this list.	Does not use shortlist credits.

search also takes --database-only, --target <n> (how many to aim for, 1 to 100) and --key <key>, an idempotency key: run the same command with the same --key again and you get the same search, never a second credit. The same --key with another project or other criteria fails with idempotency_key_reused (idempotency keys). Without --key, each run makes a new one.
